The ReDeemed Home
We were honored to partner with the Redeem and Restore Center for the 2024 opening of their Redeemed Home ~ A healing space for women recovering from a life of human trafficking and exploitation. Designing a restorative dwelling and a safe place to call HOME has been a beautiful privilege! We have created uplifting and reflective spaces where these deserving women can refresh their souls, recharge their batteries and reimagine a better life for themselves. We updated the flooring, lighting, walls and window treatments to make the space feel light, airy and welcoming. Then we added loads of charm with layers of cozy blankets and pillows, cheery artwork, comfortable seating and pops of color. This redesigned space will allow the women to reconnect with others on a similar journey in the comfortable Living Loom, expand their skill set in the Education Center, spend individual time reflecting, reading or journaling in front of the fire in the Quiet Room, enjoy family style meals in the Dining Room. And at the end of the day, rest their heads in a semi-private Bedroom, rich in both personality and peacefulness.
ReDesigning The Patient Experience - With I.M.O.K Bags
The I.M.O.K. Project (Independent Makers Offering Kindness) is one of the Charitable arms of our business, focusing on “ReDesigning the Patient Experience” for cancer patients. As a 7-year breast cancer survivor, I felt compelled to pay it forward and improve the FEEL of the healing and recovery process. With the help of many generous sponsors and business partnerships, I've assembled a team of fabulous local makers to wrap their arms around the cancer community, ensuring that these men and women don’t have to fight the fight all alone. Over 25 local makers and vendors have shared their time, talent, and treasures through their contributions to the I.M.O.K bag project. These bags are filled with a myriad of handmade comfort products such as fragrance-free lotions, soaps and lip balm, super soft socks, beautiful journals, notecards, warrior bracelets and more. Once filled, the bags are distributed to both local and global patients who are currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Our goal is to enable these cancer patients to say ... I Am Okay!
